Janine Fleming has been an indispensable part of our firm for over 30 years, assisting Fletcher Thompson in his first infant adoption in the 1970’s and returning full time to the firm from 20042015. She remains a trusted advisor and friend of the firm. Janine received a B.S. degree in Mental Health and Psychology from North Carolina A&T State University and began working as a crisis pregnancy counselor in Greensboro, North Carolina. She continued her counseling work after moving to Spartanburg. Janine completed Guardian ad Litem training through the South Carolina Bar and began working in the adoption field. In December 1986 Janine became a South Carolina Certified Adoption Investigator, working with birth parents and adoptive families.
In 2002, Janine was recognized for her outstanding contributions to adoption in South Carolina by being honored as an Angel in Adoption by the United States Congressional Coalition on Adoption in Washington, D.C.
Janine possesses a natural charm that makes her uniquely suited for working in the fields of adoption and ARTS. She enjoys meeting birth parents and gestational carrier candidates, answering questions and providing information to ease the process. She is also a wonderful support to adoptive parents and intended parents.
