Vicki Morrison received an Associate of Business degree and began her paralegal career in 1983. Vicki joined James Fletcher Thompson, LLC in 2001, bringing years of paralegal experience, including years of experience in personal injury law. Vicki quickly became an invaluable asset to James Fletcher Thompson, LLC providing paralegal support services, including preparation of pleadings for adoptions and parentage actions, preparation of contracts in ARTS cases, coordination with state offices for Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children, coordination of guardian ad litem services, scheduling of hearings and processing requests for birth certificates.
Vicki’s years of experience in adoptions have given her the ability to assist current and prospective clients with questions concerning the process. Vicki’s friendly (and admittedly Southern) voice is often the first contact a prospective client will have with the firm. She is able to answer initial questions and when necessary, arranges initial meetings or phone conferences. She provides potential clients the assurance that the firm stands ready to assist with their adoption or ARTS matter in whatever way possible.
Vicki is committed to continued education in matters of adoption and ARTS, and attends seminars and conferences when possible in order to keep up with new law and trends. She regularly attends the paralegal conferences offered by the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and the American
Academy of Assisted Reproduction Technologies.
