Birth Parent Series: BirthMom Buds

Over the next few months, The Law Offices of James Fletcher Thompson will be running a series aimed at recognizing the strength and benevolence of all birth parents. Our newest feature is BirthMom Buds, an organization and website that provides peer counseling, support, encouragement, and friendship to birth moms as well as pregnant women considering adoption.  Placing a baby for adoption is a selfless, difficult and genuinely loving act that a birth mother can make for her child. BirthMom Buds wants every party involved in adoption to know that there is always available support to those interested. If you are pregnant and considering adoption, a birth mom who has placed her child for adoption, or would just like to learn more about birth moms and what they experience, BirthMom Buds welcomes you to browse their website and get involved.

In efforts to offer friendship and support to all birth moms and expectant women interested in adoption, BirthMom Buds offers various ways for women to get involved with their organization. BirthMom Buds offers a quarterly newsletter, BirthMom Buds Bulletin, featuring articles written by birth moms. Numerous Forums for birth moms are available as well as an annual weekend retreat for birth moms. Whether you are interested in becoming actively involved in the organization, chatting online, or just reading the stories shared by other birth moms, BirthMom Buds is available and willing to provide any support you may need.
